Description:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Sommelier to lead our wine service and cellar operations in an ultra-luxury environment in Palm Beach, FL. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in wines from all major regions around the world and bring a confident, yet humble guest-focused approach to service. This role is responsible for enhancing the wine program, managing inventory, training staff, and delivering a world-class wine experience in a refined hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert-level wine service and guidance to guests, tailored to their preferences and the menu.
• Curate, update, and manage the wine list in collaboration with the Director of Operations.
• Maintain and organize the wine cellar, ensuring accurate inventory and storage practices.
• Train and mentor front-of-house staff on wine knowledge and service standards.
• Lead wine tastings, pairings, and special events such as wine dinners or guided tastings.
• Manage wine purchasing and vendor relationships, ensuring quality and budget alignment.
• Work with the culinary team to develop thoughtful wine pairings for menus.
• Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, professionalism, and guest interaction.

Requirements:

• Extensive global wine knowledge (Old and New World regions) with formal wine education preferred (e.g., WSET Level 3, CMS Advanced or higher).
• At least 5 years of experience in fine dining, luxury hospitality, or private club environments.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a polished and professional demeanor.
• Strong organizational and inventory management skills.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• WSET Level 3, Court of Master Sommeliers (Certified or Advanced)
• Experience hosting wine events or member education programs
• Comfortable leading a floor and supporting broader service operations as needed

• Base Salary - $90-$95k
